dsound® sound sensors enable non-destructive material testing and process monitoring in a number of different applications.
dsound® USS4 from our sensor range is able to detect even minor changes in the sound of a noise and thus reliably detects cracks, inclusions or geometric defects, even if the ambient noise level is high or if distorting noises have to be filtered out. Likewise, a changed noise pattern can be a first indicator for a fault.
The use of the dsound® USS5 sound sensor is ideal for acoustic detection of e.g. material tearing, tool breakage or the locking of parts.
Due to the high protection level and compact design, the sound sensors are predestined for use in industrial environments. After training or configuration of the sensors, the integrated signal processing and signal evaluation ability makes is possible for them to perform the respective measuring task independently. Analog and digital inputs and outputs allow easy connection to external systems such as controllers, actuators, etc.
With our optionally available configuration software the sensors can also communicate via more complex interfaces and visualize and record the processed audio signals, if required.
Due to their high processing speed the sensors are able to perform an acoustic analysis in real time. The sensors are continuously enhanced in order to be prepared and adaptable for individual customer requirements.
The dsound® sensors are available in structure-borne and airborne sound versions.
